In memory of

3 children (boy, 2 girls)

during the night of August 14/15, 2008

in Godenkhel village of Logar Province. According to a provincial council member of the Kharwar district of Logar who spoke with the independent Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) agency, a US/NATO air strike hit the home of a shepherd in Godenkhel village. The result was three dead children (a boy and 2 girls), 15 dead sheep, a wrecked pickup truck and tractor instead of Taliban fighters. The district elder told PAN that hundreds of people attended the funeral of the children’s funeral. The gathered persons vowed not to allow foreign occupation forces in the area unless the killers of the children were brought to justice.
