12 civilians killed
during the weekend of December 8-9, 2007
a US/NATO air strike in the Nowzad (Nawzad) district of Helmand Province located due west of Musa Qala, killed 12 civilians and left a single boy as the only surviving member of a family, according to Abdul Satar Mazahari, head of the refugee department in Helmand Province according to Graeme Smith of the Globe & Mail.
