It's that time of the year again for flip flops, shorts, and trips
to the beach. Better yet its that time of the year when Yawkey Way is
full of life and jam packed with dedicated fans. Everyone makes their
way to their way into Fenway Park hoping to witness another successful
journey to World Series. Athough they've made a few trades during the
off season the team is in good shape with many of it's returning players
ready to play.
The original Red Sox Debut was supposed to take place on
April 6,2009 but due to the weather the game was reschedueled for the
following day. Despite the change in date, the Red Sox proved that
came ready to play on the 7th.The game ended with a victory against
the Tampa Bay Rays. The incredible Josh Beckett struck out 10 in seven
innings and Dustin Pedroia and Jason Varitek both started off their
season with a homerun each.
After their first game Red Sox Manager, Terry Francona let the media
know how happy he was with Josh Becketts performance by saying:
The way Beckett was throwing, he was phenomenal,That fastball that he was throwing front door to the lefties, it was coming back. He had the breaking ball. Except for the third inning when he lost his breaking ball, and they were able to sit on a couple of fastballs. He was good all day.
Game number two throws down on Wednesday the 8th at 7:10 with Jon Lester at the mound. It's Rocco Baldelli's debut with the Red Sox as the TB Rays get their 2nd chance to beat the Red Sox this season at Fenway Park. Hopefully the Red Sox can walk away tonight with a 2-0 record as they continue what should be a great season.

Single game tickets are on sale now and there are multiple ways
to purchase them. You can either take a walk down to Fenway park and
purchase them at the window or buy them online. The
Fenway Park is known to be one of the best ball parks in the world.
Although it's one of the smallest, there is something about it that
makes it so special. It's history, it's fans, and the famous 37ft
Green Monster makes a Fenway experience magical. The Park opened in
1912 and every year it seems to get better. Yawkey Way has tons of
things to do before and after games and has food vendors with:
