Intercooler Pipe Fabrication Pictures

I used 2 inch diameter mandrel bent pipes to make a rout from the turbo outlet to the front mount intercooler and then from the intercooler to the throttle body. Here is a shot of the overall pipe routing in the front bumper. It looked like a snake nest but it got the job done. Cooling the hot compressed air from the turbo through an air–to–air intercooler is a must.

Here is the flange and pipe connecting to the turbo outlet.

This is the pipe I made connecting the turbo outlet pipe to the intercooler. Yes my welds are pretty ugly but I never claimed to be a professional welder.

Here you can see the red silicon coupler on the pipe connecting the pipes to the throttle body.

Lastly, I have a picture of the finished pipes plasma–coated with aluminum. I had a friend coat them for free. The aluminum dissipates heat and protects the steel pipes from oxidation.
