Atlanta Hawks W 99-76

KgHawks

The Celtics met the Hawks in Atlanta for a clash of what should have been a very close and competitive game; however, that was not the case. The Celtics led 39-13 in the first 12 minutes of the game. KG, Shaq, and Nate went off in the first quarter outscoring the Hawks. At the end of the first quarter KG had 9 points and 3 rebounds, Shaq had 6 points and 5 boards, and Nate had 9 points with 5 assists. They finished the game with the Celtics winning 99-76. Doc was quoted saying, Kevin was dominant tonight at both ends of the floor and the game pretty much ran through him. He ended the game with 17 points, 5 assists, 1 steal and block, and 11 rebounds. They rebounded the Hawks 50-30 and did not let one Hawks player score more than 11 points.

My Thoughts

I thought this was going to be a tough game for the C's after their close loss to the Raptors. I had faith that they would be able to bounce back on their feet, but I knew it would be a struggle. I never expected them to be able to crush the Hawks the way they did. Going up against star players like Josh Smith and Joe Johnson seemed not to phase them in their victory, good work hopefully we can get a winning streak going.
