PAPERS. Three papers are scheduled
for presentation this summer and fall.
They are very simple descriptive papers. They will present the rates of physical assault and injury, and
sexual coercion for the different sites.
Separate rates will be presented for male and female offenders and for
minor and severe levels of physical assault, injury, and sexual coercion.

CONFERENCES
WHERE WE CAN MEET
There will be a lunch meeting at the
International Conference on Family Violence Research, at the Sheraton Hotel,
Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA, 4-7
August 2002.
I will also be attending the
following conferences. If any of you
will be at these conferences, let me know and we can meet:
International Congress on Child
Abuse and Neglect, Denver, CO, USA, 7-10 July 2002
International Society For Research
on Aggression, Montreal, Canada, 28-31 July 2002
European Society Of Criminology,
Annual meeting, Toledo, Spain, 5-7
September 2002.
European Conference on Psychology
and the Law, Leuven, Belgium, 14-17 Sep., 2002
MINI-CONSORTIUM
Any group of two or more of
consortium members can form a mini-consortium for purpose of doing studies
comparing their sites, and they would have the exclusive right to use the data
for that purpose. An example would be
a consortium of members from French language sites. When this type of consortium is arranged, it modifies the
agreement on rights to the data to limit my use of the data. Although the agreement gives me permission to
use the data from all sites for purpose of cross-national comparisons, when a
mini-consortium is formed, that takes priority. In this example, I would not have permission to compare French
language countries and write a paper on the comparisons. (However, I would have permission to include
French language countries in a paper that includes more than just French
language countries).
