"Critical Care Nurse" is published by the AACN.
Therefore the articles are devoted to critical-care issues, skills, practice. It is a must have for critical care nurses.
American Journal of Critical Care magazine
"American Journal of Critical-Care" is another magazine devoted to critical-care issues, skills, practice.
AJN magazine
"American Journal of Nursing" is published by the American Nursing Association. Even though it does not focus on critica-care issues, it is a magazine for all nurses and has interesting articles regarding the nursing profession and issues that affect all nurses.
Nursing Made Incredibly Easy Magazine cover
"Nursing Made Incredibly Easy" is exactly what it states, it takes difficult nursing concepts/pathophysiologies and puts them in plain language that everyone can understand. It is an excellent magazine for nurses starting out in crtitical-care as well as seasoned nurses.
RN Magazine
"RN" is another easy to read magazine. It contains many good articles, many of which is related to critical care. An added bonus is that Laura Gasparis (a well-known and outspoken critical-care nurse) writes an article each month, this alone makes the magazine a must have.

"Critical Care Nursing" is part of the Lippincott Review Series. It is a handy resource for beginners and experienced critical-care nurses.

"Critical Care Nursing Secrets" by Schell and Puntillo provides the critical-care nurse with answers to hundreds of critical-care questions.
Emergency Nursing Secrets book cover
"Emergency Nursing Secrets" by Oman, Koziol-McLanin and Scheetz is part of the Nursing Secrets series.
The Lippincott Manual of Nursing Practice book cover
"The Lippincott Manual of Nursing Practice" is well organized, easy to read format. Every nurse needs a good med/surg nursing book and I recommend this one. (Many hospitals use this manual to guide their nursing policy and procedure.)
Clinical Nursing Skills book cover
"Clinical Nursing Skills - Basic to Advanced" is a good clinical practice book to have. It is well-organized, good graphics, provides step-by-step with rationales.
Mosby's Diagnositc and Laboratory Test Reference book cover
Every nurse should have a good lab book. Over the years, I have found "Mosby's Diagnostic and Laboratory Test Reference" to fit my needs.
