CRITICAL-CARE CERTIFICATIONS


CRITICAL CARE
CERTIFICATION (CCRN)

CCRNAlthough CCRN is not required, it shows excellence and knowledge in the area of critical-care. A passing score of 70% is required on a written examination. Maintaining certification requires earning 150 critical-care related ceu's over a three year period. To find out more click on the CCRN image.
ACLS ACLS is mandatory in most critical-care settings, as well as BCLS. These certifications must be renewed every two years. A passing score on the written examination and demonstration of skills at each clinical station is required for certification. To find out more click on the ACLS image.

ADVANCED CARDIAC
LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)

TRAUMA NURSING CORE
COURSE (TNCC)

TNCCTNCC is not required in order to work in a critical-care unit. However, the information and clinical skills obtained from this certification provides an understanding of the treatment the trauma patient received prior to arriving in the Critical-Care Unit.
