Martha's Vineyard

Martha's Vineyard also known as "MV" is an island off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It is approximately 24 miles long and 10 miles wide and only 7 miles south of the Cape. There are six towns that make up the island. They are Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven, Chilmark, Aquinnah and West Tisbury. If you have never been here or would like to visit again, you should plan a trip to the island ASAP!

Tourism

Tourism is an essential part to Martha's Vineyard's economy. There are very popular tourist attractions on the island which include the Aqquinah Cliffs and lighthouse and the Flying Horses Carousel.

Celebrities

If you are lucky enough you may see a celebrity as you travel the island. Many celebrities like to vacation there not only to relax but also to avoid paparazzi. carly Simon, the Kennedy Family and Jim Belushi all have houses on MV. Famous actor, John Belushi, known for his role in "Animal House" is buried on the island. If you are up for a drive and head towards Aquinnah you can stop and pay your respects.
