The first five movements of The Rage of Achilles, for bass baritone solo, chorus (STB, one singer per part), and large chamber ensemble were premiered by the New England Conservatory Contemporary Ensemble, conducted by Jeffrey Means at Jordan Hall in Boston, MA, February 12, 2008. UNH faculty member David Ripley performed as guest bass baritone soloist with the ensemble. Dobbins received a Senior Faculty Fellowship from the Center for the Humanities at UNH to work on this piece during the fall semester of 2007.

The Rage of Achilles was premiered, in its entirety, on October 13, 2009 in the Johnson Theater at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH. The performers were David Ripley, bass-baritone soloist, Kimberly Soby, soprano, Owen McIntosh, tenor, John Burton, bass-baritone, and musicians from the New England Conservatory, conducted by Jeffrey Means. This performance was held in conjunction with the Annual Rouman Lecture presented by the UNH Classics Department.

Dobbins’ work, I Have Given Myself to These Hills (poem by David Ripley) was performed by David Ripley, bass baritone and Arlene Kies, piano, on Mr. Ripley's Faculty Recital, 20th Century Masters, Johnson Theater, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH, February 27, 2008.

She also received a commission from Earplay, an award winning contemporary music ensemble based in San Francisco, to compose a piece to for the celebration of their 25th anniversary season in 2009-2010. The resulting piece, Through the Golden Gate, was premiered at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco, CA on March 22, 2010.

A new work for flute, clarinet, violin, cello and contrabass, commissioned by the North Country Chamber Players, will be premiered at the White Mountain Summer Music Festival in Sugar Hill, NH in the summer of 2011.
