The is a response to those who have claimed Napoleon as a savior- “the man with the healing touch” - after his recent visit to a pesthouse in Jaffa. Reports coming back have been somewhat rather confusing and contradictory: some say Bonaparte was there too boost morale, while others have claimed he was only there to save face after an order, that would issue his plague-stricken soldiers a deadly dosage of opium, accidentally went public. Bonaparte’s recent headline shares much resemblance to another famous figure; one, that after the Revolution, I will not quietly embrace again.
