Eighteen years ago, I was born in Salem, Massachusetts but was raised by my mother in East Boston, Massachusetts. Although East Boston is where my heart is, as a child I spent a lot of my time with my grandparents in Chelsea, one town over. Eventually I would decide to move in with them when I was 16 years old. My grandparents influenced me from a very young age and if it wasn't for them, who knows if I would be in college right now. I have a small immediate family and am an only child but when you look to my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. the number is surprisingly large. From my large family I also learned about many different cultures. My ancestors immigrated from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Canada, Italy, Portugal, and France as far as we know. I have met all of my grandparents and great-grandparents, many of whom were immigrants or children of immigrants who still spoke their mother tongue. I'm priviliged to have bonds with so many generations of family and I have learned many lessons from each of them.
I am currently a freshman at the University of New Hampshire. I plan to declare the English major by the end of next year but I have a love for many subjects. I'm also entertaining the idea of becoming a dual major, adding Russian onto my studies. I have a love for languages (I'm near fluent in Spanish and have been studying Russian since the beginning of last semester) and have a desire to learn many more. I'll be taking up German in the fall. I enjoy punk shows in basements, techno in the clubs, ska in the summer, and street performers with buckets (I like my music). I'm a self proclaimed art-aggrotech-punk but I am always changing so ask me what I am tomorrow. However, I am so much more than my image. So take a second look. I always have a hard time writing about myself so check out my contact info and drop a line my way.
