Small engines are notorious for running faulty and can be very frustrating when trying to diagnose the problem, even if you are knowledgeable on the topic. This site is geared toward helping you diagnose and fix common problems pertaining to small engines. The constant theme in this site is repairing and maintaining smaller 2-stroke engines, mainly hand held lawn equipment. For example if you have a stubborn chain saw or trimmer that just won’t start, or will start but doesn’t want to stay running, this site will walk you through the steps in order to get that machine running like new.

Some minor prerequisites are required to fix these small complex machines. Things you will need include but are not limited to (socket wrench set, screw driver set with star torx bits, ball pine hammer, common piles/needle nose, bench wire wheel or wire brush will do fine, small 50cc honing stone with electric drill), other tools may be brought up and explained during video tutorials. Also common knowledge on how to run and operate your machine will be key when fixing and diagnosing them.

Certain models and brands will be used during the video tutorials, if your machine differs from the one being used in the video don’t fret, many machines are similar, and the basic teachings are the same from brand to brand. Common terminology and parts will be used in order to suffice all brands and models of 2-stroke small engines.
