Snowboarding Safety
When snowboarding the most important aspect is safety. One of the simplest way to stay safe on the mountain is to wear a helmet when ridding. Wearing a helmet, though it may not be fashionable, will drasticy decrease your probability of recieving a head injury on the mountain.
Helmets can make a difference in reducing or preventing injury from falls or other impacts. They are most effective at slower speeds. Be sure to have your child properly fitted for a helmet and don't forget to teach your child
to ski or snowboard responsibly and to be familiar with the "Your Responsibility Code," the seven safety rules of the slopes.
For more information chech out some statistics on helmets.
Next you need to know your limits. Do not take any trails that you know exceed your abilities and if you have no choice resort to the infamous but-slide. Finally follow all rules of the mountain are set in place for a reason and must be followed. If you wear a helmet, know your limits, and follow the rules of the mountain you will be safe. Remember GWTF.
