Contacting me: Picture of Instructor

Since I live way off campus (Plum Island, Newburyport, Massachusetts), if you want to see me at times other than my posted office hours, you are certainly welcome to come to my office (third floor of Nesmith), but before climbing those three flights, you will probably do well to call to make sure I am there, or, email to set up an appointment.

I attempt to be there during office hours, but the best bet is to let me know ahead of time if you plan to come.

When in my office, I do answer my phone, listen to voice-mail, and regularly check my email.
But, email will be the most reliable way to reach me, since I try to check that regularly from wherever I am. Voice mail is highly unreliable

Important: Please make sure that all email messages you send me start off in the subject line with the course number and section followed by your name and a relevant phrase about the subject of your email.

Example:  Subject: CS401-05 Joe McSnoodbottom - Question on assignment 2 question 4

If you don't put this info on the subject line, you may not get a timely answer (or any answer!)  This is not because I am being mean, but simply that the volume of email that I get makes it too easy to lose a message in the shuffle, and I don't want to lose yours!
