Thank you for visiting my site. I am an associate professor of anthropology and education at the University of New Hampshire in the northeastern United States.

Why anthropology and education? Because I am intrigued by the puzzle of humanity. In following Socrate's dictum, know thyself, I realized that I cannot understand myself until I understand others. I cannot understand myself and others until I understand the situation in which we find ourselves. Anthropology and education offer the opportunity to approach answers to these intriguing questions.
