steps to create a web page

Downloaded the pagetemplate.html from Blackboard to my computer

open the file in notepad and SAVE AS a new file name

Enter the elements and text content for the page

The main element tags are: ( , , )

Save the page every time i make a change oradd data

Opened the page in a browser to view the content and layout

Made edits and changes in Notepad, and save again

Refresh the browser

Now lets upload the file

Upload the file to the cisunix.edu server.

6. Open the page on the server with the URL: http://pubpages.unh.edu/~jmg264

Page elements in Chapter 2

• The head tag defines info for the browser.
• The body tag presents text and media content on the browser window.
• Most tags are paired they have an opening and closing tag.
• List are numbered bullet or definition structures.
