Welcome to the UHP Peer Mentoring Program

The University Honors Program (UHP) is excited to announce the beginning of our new Peer Mentoring Program! Mentees are incoming UHP students living in Hubbard Hall & their mentors are trained upper class UHP students living both on and off campus.

The Peer Mentoring Program is designed to support and assist incoming honors students. The program is intended to help UHP first year students have a great start to their college years, to help them understand the University, and to relieve their anxieties and fears about the transition from high school to college.

Your input, your ideas, your creativity and your active assistance are absolutely necessary to the success of the mentoring program! This experience will both benefit the incoming freshmen and provide a great learning and leadership opportunity for the peer mentors as well.

This is a pilot program being developed by the UHP Assistant Director, Chris Sohl, and the UHP Graduate Assistant, Heather Roy. In the future we hope to expand this program to include all UHP incoming freshmen.
