The Mystic Seaport is known as an institute of exploration. It is home to beluga whales, jellyfish, penguins, sea lions, and all kinds of fish. The Mystic Aquarium also does encounter programs where you can get up close and personal to the belugas or penguins. Sea lion shows are very popular too. If you have a family, especially young kids, coming to the Mystic Aquarium is a must.

The Mystic Seaport is known as the Museum of America and the Sea. It is the nations leading maritime museum because it is home to many historical tall ships. While you are there, you will have the opportunity to stroll through a re-created 19th century village and tour the ships. Mystic Seaport has over 300,000 visitors a year, and it was founded in 1929.
Downtown Mysitc is located right on the Mystic River, and is most famously known for the drawbridge, the ice cream shops, and the stores. Downtown Mystic is located on Water Street. Although it is tiny, it does still have a peacful New England charm. This picture is of the famous drawbridge.
