!أهلا و سهلا! مرحبا بكم
Welcome!This
site provides an overview of my research
and teaching, and some resources for
students interested in the study of the
Middle East and/or environmental
politics.
My
research focuses on the intersections
between politics and environment in the
Middle East. I am working on a
manuscript on the political economy of
environmental policy change in Egypt and
the Arab world. Other research interests
include adaptation to climate change and
water resources in the Middle East,
environmental protest movements, and the
politics of food security.
I hold
a Ph.D. and M.A. from Princeton
University in Politics and a B.A. from
Harvard University in Social Studies.
Recent postdoctoral fellowships and
appointments include the Dubai
Initiative, Belfer Center for the Study
of Science and International Affairs,
Harvard University (Spring 2009-Spring
2010); Center for Arabic Study Abroad
(CASA) III Program (Fall 2008); UNH
Center for the Humanities Junior Faculty
Fellowship (Fall 2008) and the Center
for Middle East Studies, Harvard
University (Fall 2007-Spring 2008).
At UNH,
I teach courses in Middle East politics,
comparative politics, US foreign policy,
and environmental politics. I grew up in
Keene, New Hampshire and am glad to be
back in NH after many years away. |
