Saves the day is a pop punk/alternative band originating in 1997 from Princeton, New Jersey. Originally having five members, the band has slowly progressed into a four man band, with only two of its original members remaining, Chris Conley and David Soloway; vocals/guitar and guitar. Conley has been the core member of the band since its birth, and has kept it rolling to this day.
The band has changed their sound since their birth ten years ago, mostly because of the various changes in the bands lineup. Due to their change in sound, the band's fan base is constantly changing, but some people, like myself, will always remain fans of Saves the Day. I have seen the band perform live three times, twice in Boston, Ma and once in Hampton, NH.
Their first album came out in 1998, Can't Slow Down, and is my personal favorite in the 7 CD Saves the Day arsenal. Other Saves the Day records include; I'm Sorry I'm Leaving(1998), Through Being Cool(1999), Stay What You Are(2001), In Reverie(2003), Ups & Downs: Early Recordings and B-Sides(2004), Sound the Alarm(2006), and their newest album- Under the Boards(2007).
