Greetings!

Wecome to Jenni On the Web!

I'm Jenni. Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I'm a big fan of music, and dollhouses, and hairfarmers.
"Hairfarmers? What are hairfarmers?" you ask? More about that later. I have a job that I'm rapidly growing to despise, which is part of why I'm in school. I don't wanna do that gig forever. In fact, I don't even like talking about it. Let's just say I'm on the phone all day, fixing something someone, somewhere screwed up. It's unpleasant at best. For fun, I like to go see my friends' bands, sit around a fire having good, deep, intellectual conversation, and meeting new people. I especially like to meet old friends of my friends, because it offers insight into someone I've gotten to know. I used to be a therapist. I have a BA in Psychology. Graduated cum laude even. Had a great job. Then, one day, a kid microwaved a cat, and that was about all I needed to give my notice. No day at work will ever be that bad again.

My dollhouse obsession started about 6 years ago. I finally wired and finished the dollhouse my mom gave me when I was 12. I was hooked on minatures immediately. It takes a lot of time, patience, and steady hands to build and finish a dollhouse. I now have 6 of them. My favorite is a witch's cottage I made, complete with all of the ingredients found in the "Double, double toil and trouble" scene from "Macbeth". They say that play is cursed. That the spell is too real. I didn't believe it, until I plugged in the extraordinary fireplace I built into that cottage and the whole thing caught fire. Never had an electrical issue in any house I've ever wired, but that one - THAT ONE - with it's hand-thatched, coconut fiber roof, started smokin' the second I plugged it in. I've never moved so fast in my life! Saved it. Rewired it. It gets plugged in once a year now. On Halloween. It stands about a foot high, and sits in the middle of a 2' x 2' "yard", complete with a tree that I glued every individual leaf onto, and a well with a working bucket. It's small for a dollhouse, but it cost me about $1200 to build & finish.
