Philanthropy is a huge part of Alpha Sigma Phi. Warren Buffet, an alumnus of Alpha Sig has donated over $30 billion to philanthropy in hopes to better the human-kind. Philanthropy also gives us to opportunity to work closely with our community. Fraternities do have a stereotype, but this is not the case for all. As Alpha Sigma Phi we contribute to our community by actively participating in cancer walks, charitable golf tournaments, and also travel to near by junior high schools and help students with homework and math problems.
Although every chapter can do whatever they want for philanthopy, Alpha Sig has partnered up with LiveStrong the Lance Armstrong Foundation. This allows us to host bike races and host other events that raise money for cancer using the insignias of the foundation to print t-shirts, banners, and any other type of advertising apparel or signs. 100% of the donations goes directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
