About the farm
This is a website dedicated to exploring the history of the Bodwell Tree Farm from the initial construction of the house circa 1790 to the development of the tree farm it is today.
The website can be navigated through the links on the left. There is a gallery of photos of the farm over the years, a separate page about the tree farm business as well as an (incomplete) history of the farm.
This website is dedicated to Robert Bodwell, my grandfather, who passed away in 2006. Without him the Bodwell Tree Farm wouldn't be what it is today.
—Joe Bodwell (b. 1991)
The Bodwell Tree Farm is located in the Sanbornton Square Historic District. Situated upon roughly 200 acres of land, the farm includes two ponds, several acres of Balsam Firs, many open fields and plenty of forest land. The property extends along Tower Hill and past the cemetery with one-third of the land located at the top of Tower Hill on disconnected plot. (See History of the farm.)
Bodwell Tree Farm
In the early '60's Robert "Bob" Bodwell began planting trees with his uncle, Joseph C. Bodwell (this author's namesake). At that time Bob was studying agriculture and conservation at The University of New Hampshire.

The Bodwell Tree farm has been selling trees since the early seventies when the first trees Robert Bodwell planted were ready for sale. Originally Bob planted White and Blue Spruce but later switched to exclusively growing Balsam Fir. (See Balsam Firs)(See History)
We sell trees and wreaths during the Christmas season. (See Business.)
