The year was 1973, and Tansy, a man notorious among the bodegas of Tijuana for his superb taco-creating abilities, was jubilant with ambition. His United States citizenship had been granted, leaving him with his life-long vision in his not-so-distant future: a small taco shop in the glorious college town that is Durham, New Hampshire. By 1975, Tansy was placing his original tacos in the hands of eager students. Quickly the demand grew, and so did Tansy's menu. There were burritos, nachos, and soft drinks flooding the streets of the Oyster River District for over 35 years! The legend of Tansy's Tasty Tacos remains today, and so does the everlasting happiness to all that encounter it.
