New Program Locations in Windows Vista™

 

  1. Administrator Account - The account is disabled by default in Vista.

 

a.       Click Start button

b.      Right click Computer

c.       Select Manage

d.      On the Computer Management dialog box, open Local Users and Groups

e.       Select Users

f.       Right click on Administrator account

g.       Select Properties

h.      Uncheck or Clear ‘Account is disabled” box

 

  1. Documents & Settings – In Vista, Documents & Settings folder is called ‘Users.’ It is located at C:\Users. As with Documents & Settings, the folders listed under the ‘Users’ folder are grouped by each user.

 

  1. Disk Defragmenter

 

    1. Go to Start
    2. All Programs
    3. Choose: Accessories
    4. Select System Tools
    5. Disk Defragmenter

 

  1. Remote Desktop Connection

 

    1. Go to Start
    2. Choose: Accessories
    3. Remote Desktop Connection

    1. Click Start
