This page is woefully incomplete at the moment.
If the current date is earlier than December 2012,
assume it will soon be improved.
Otherwise, assume I've forgotten about it.
About me
I'm a Ph.D. candidate in pure mathematics
at the University of New Hampshire.
I completed my qualifying exams in August of 2010.
Teaching
This semester I am acting as a teaching assistant for
MATH 426
(Calculus II),
Sections 07 - 09.
Mathematical interests
My primary interests are in category theory and model
theory (and particularly the unification of the two through
model categories), foundations, and topology.
Questions of particular interest include:
- The categorical structure of
Quine's New Foundations.
If the ZF(C) category of sets is a topos,
what is the NF(U) category of sets?
- The incidence geometry of convex open subsets
of the Euclidean plane,
and specifically the conditions
under which two such subsets
have equivalent incidence structures.
