Theme
My Final Project is going to be a personal page for the UNH Gymnastics Team. The website will include a complete roster, a schedule of this years meets, and photo gallery of the team. My site will be different from others because it will be easy to navigate and it will be very appealing to the eye. The website will give viewers important information about the team such as events we are taking part in, upcoming meets, or fundraising events, and probable lineups on each event. All of this information will be at a quick glance so they wont be spending long periods of time searching the website for what they are looking for.
Goals
When creating my website I am keeping many important goals in mind as I do so in order to make my website a success and to appeal to the group of people I am trying to reach. The audience of my website applies to a very wide range of people. Everyone from young gymnasts, to potential recruits, to the parents of the girls on the team as well as fans of all ages including UNH students will be able to go to my website and find a piece of information that is of interest to them. This website will apply to the 2011-2012 season of Gymnastics and will become out dated when the 2012-2013 season comes along. My website will be pretty advanced containing at least 15 different pages that branch off from a single homepage using a hierarchical scheme. Once I create the site no maintenance will be involved because it will be set for the whole season. The point of my website is not to make money, it is to inform fans about the UNH Womens Gymnastics Team for the 2011-2012 season. Since I am on the team and have a good knowledge about the team already much research wont need to be done, there also wont be too much paragraph writing. The website will mostly be bulleted lists or short paragraphs as well as a variety of pictures.
Navigational Scheme
The navigational scheme of my project will be a hierarchical set up. I will have a main page with tabs at the top that will lead you to a variety of different pages. The tabs at the top will include, Roster, Schedule, On the Inside, Line up, and Fundraising. Once you click on the roster tab you will be brought to a page with the different classes such as Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. When you click on a class name it will bring you to a list of gymnasts who are in that class. When you click on the schedule link however the schedule will just appear on the next page. The tab that is really going to make my website stand out from every other sport homepage out there is "On the Inside". When you click on this tag you will be brought to a list of various options such as locker room, weightroom, training room, and in the gym. When clicked on these links will bring you to a page that will give you an inside look at what really goes on during everyday training for the gymnastics team. For the event line up tab it will bring you to a list of the different events, which will all be relative links that will then bring you to the list of gymnasts competing on that event. The Fundraising tab will bring you to a site that sets out some of the fundraising events we have participated in throughout the year as well as events we will be doing.

I feel as though this is the best way to set up my website because it will allow viewers to easily navigate to the information they are seeking. Without them spending a lot of time searching through different pages.
