The navigational scheme of my project will be a hierarchical set up.
I will have a main page with tabs at the top that will lead you to a
variety of different pages. The tabs at the top will include, Roster,
Schedule, On the Inside, Line up, and Fundraising. Once you click on the
roster tab you
will be brought to a page with the different classes such as Freshmen,
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. When you click on a class name it will
bring you to a list of gymnasts who are in that class. When you click on
the schedule link however the schedule will just appear on the next page.
The tab that is really going to make my website stand out from every other
sport homepage out there is "On the Inside". When you click on this tag
you will be brought to a list of various options such as locker room,
weightroom, training room, and in the gym. When clicked on these links
will
bring you to a page that will give you an inside look at what really goes
on during everyday training for the gymnastics team. For the event line up
tab it will bring you to a list of the different
events, which will all be relative links that will then bring you to the
list of gymnasts competing on that event. The Fundraising tab will bring
you to a site that sets out some of the fundraising events we have
participated in throughout the year as well as events we will be doing.
I feel as though this is the best way to set up my website
because it will allow viewers to easily navigate to the information they
are seeking. Without them spending a lot of time searching through
different pages.
