Trish Stratus? So this is what everyone has been waiting for? It's pretty clear why she was brought in, but at least the other women of the WWF have some talent. I will wait though and give her a chance to prove herself. Her first week hasn't been impressive at all, but we'll see what happens in the future. Too bad there is such little crowd response to Jackie's Women's Title defenses. I know a lot of people enjoy the women's matches, so hopefully they will continue. They really need to get Jackie involved in a story, because otherwise I suppose there's no real reason for anyone to be excited about her matches, except wrestling. Wrestling? What's that? So why are they putting Mae and Moolah with the Kat and Terri at Wrestlemania? That makes no sense at all. Hopefully that will be cleared up on RAW this week. I was expecting Mae vs. Moolah at Wrestlemania, but that probably wouldn't work too well on it's own, so I understand they need to bring in other superstars, but the Kat and Terri? Shouldn't Terri be paying more attention to the Tag Team Title match? and shouldn't the Kat be getting back at Chyna for apparently dumping her? (or did I miss something?) I have too many questions this week, don't I?
Since when did the Rock's Wrestlemania turn in to Mick Foley's Wrestlemania? Isn't this what they've been building up for the past year, for the Rock to win the WWF Title at Wrestlemania? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind at all if Mick gets to fulfill his lifelong dream, but I'm not sure the Rock will ever have another chance to go in to a Wrestlemania being this popular and win the WWF Title. Somehow the Rock winning the title at Backlash just won't be the same. Here's some more questions, because all this McMahon feuding isn't making too much sense: Why would Vince and Linda not be fighting for the same cause? If they all have equal power, shouldn't they be voting on decisions? Are any of the McMahons REALLY loyal to their respective wrestlers? Are any of the wrestlers REALLY loyal to their respective McMahon representative? Somehow it just doesn't make sense that each McMahon would be upset with every other McMahon. They've turned on each other so much that's it's too confusing to even want to try and figure out.
Another Wrestlemania battle royal? Let's hope this is better than the last few they've had. Clearly to me, the best match at Wrestlemania will most likely be Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho. If Wrestlemania 2000 Video Game Triple Threat Matches can be so interesting, so should the ones on tv. Actually it would be interesting to see more triple threat matches, at least per week or show would be great. There are so many new possibilities with Triple Threats.
The Mean Street Posse seem to get funnier each and every week.
Seems Pete Rose should appear at Wrestlemania again, 3 strikes and he's out?
I watched Chyna on Pacific Blue Sunday. Don't know why, but I like that show. The acting is pretty bad, but for some reason it seems like a good show.

So if Stephanie has Triple H, and Shane has Big Show, and Vince has the Rock, wouldn't it only be fitting for Linda to show up at the Main Event of Wrestlemania with her own wrestler to represent her as well? If you're confused, I guess the Main Event is now Triple H vs. the Rock vs. Big Show with the winner becoming the New Champ and their McMahon representative gains control of the WWF. I'm glad they changed this, cause Triple H vs. Big Show wouldn't have been that interesting, and the Rock vs. Triple H seemed a little too predictable, but this Triple Threat Match sounds very exciting, with lots of possibilities. I still pick the Rock though.
Be sure to listen to "Crippler Radio" at chrisbenoit.com next week to hear Chris be interviewed, along with the Dynamite Kid. That should be very interesting. I enjoyed Dynamite's book. Next book for me to read is DDP's. Third Rock from the Sun with Chyna was pretty good. Be sure to check out the calendar on the main page for lots of upcoming events on tv involving wrestling. One that is sure to be interesting is Larry King Live this Friday night. I'm also looking forward to going to see "Beyond the Mat". If you're planning to see this movie, try to see it this weekend. How many people see it opening weekend could determine how long it stays in theaters, and it's ultimate success. Vince had a comment about the movie finally at wwf.com Did anyone listen to what he had to say about it?

What a great RAW it was last night! I don't know about you, but I've sensed that for weeks now, many people (including myself) have been awaiting the return of Vince McMahon. People have been speculating for weeks now about his return, and I don't think it could have went any better than it did. Right at the beginning of RAW, the Rock sort of hinted at it when he said the Big Show had Shane and Stephanie in his corner, and the Rock had in his corner (pause)...the people. You were kinda thinking he might say Vince, but looking back it was best he didn't. Then when Shane came out with the ref shirt you just knew something big had to happen cause there's no way he was going to count out the Rock. Now when Shane was out and the second ref came running down the aisle, I thought it might be possible (but hoped not) that he would count out the Big Show. Then, when Shane pulled him out, you knew Vince had to be there. The limo arriving, Vince punching out Triple H, and the music coming on and the crowd erupting, it was a great return. I only hoped Vince wasn't going to turn on the Rock, I mean how much deceit can the fans take? It's kind of strange though, how are the McMahons going to get along? It still doesn't make sense that Shane and Stephanie joined forces. Why would they when the Big Show was supposed to fight Triple H at Wrestlemania? Sure, they both disliked the Rock, but you usually don't see the 2 wrestlers for the Main Event at Wrestlemania teaming up to focus on someone else. I suppose none of that matters seeing we all knew there was no chance Big Show vs. Triple H was going to be the main event at Wrestlemania. Now what though? Is Shane going to side with Triple H? Will he turn on the Big Show for losing the match on RAW? I think we know where Vince and Stephanie stand, but Shane we can't be sure about.
Mae Young is just crazy. That was awesome and it looks like she'll be fighting Moolah at Wrestlemania. You just knew watching RAW that whatever Mae was going to do would probably top what she did last week, and it's almost scary to watch. It looked like whatever she went through off the stage wasn't too bad to land on, but still, the risk is there. Moolah was pretty funny last night too. And will somebody please stick to one age for Mae Young please! One minute she's 80, the next she's 77, the next she's something else, which is it? Speaking of the other women, Ivory's interview was just horrible. What is Terri doing? Does she even know? One minute it appears she's helping Edge, the next it seems she isn't????
Speaking of returns, it seems Vince's return has been more awaited than Steve Austin's. Not sure if anyone else noticed, but a few times over the last month they've mentioned his name on either RAW or Smackdown, and the crowd reaction has been little, if any. Seems a sure bet that Austin will be a heel when he returns, or shortly thereafter. It would make sense, seeing Vince and Austin had probably the best feud in pro wrestling history, and now Vince could side with the Rock, and Rock vs. Austin is always a great match. However, it may be some time before Steve is ready to return to the ring.
What will Debra's role be at Wrestlemania?
For all the Jerichoholics out there who have been shocked at how I couldn't understand the appeal of Jericho, you will be happy to hear that I've been really impressed with some of his matches lately. He's been able to show off his in-ring skills, while keeping the mic work down a little. Seems like he has the perfect combo now. Kurt Angle, just remember, who told you first that he was going to be a huge star? Almost from his first match on WWF TV I've been telling you. Jim Ross said Kurt reminds him of the Rock, 2 years ago. That is true, but Angle seems to be rising much faster. Um, there's been tons of reports about the WWF not wanting Tazz to use so many suplexes...seems to me that could not be further from the truth after seeing his matches lately. There's just so many rumors out there, and how many times do we read "oops we're sorry" or "I've got to apologize for that story". That's why I just post info that I am 99% sure is correct, and try to stay away from that type of reporting, but providing an alternative to those things. I've gotten some nice emails lately about my site. It's good to hear people appreciate what we do! There's so much more to say about last night, but I'm out of time. I'll write more real soon!

All right, I admit it, that was a horrible ending to Mae Young's pregnancy angle. I suppose it sounded good at the beginning, but where could they really have gone with it? At least now it's over and done with, and they can move on. It sounds like they have moved on cause I read at the Smackdown tapings Mae got one of the biggest pops during the mixed tag match. On to RAW...it was a great start to RAW. Sometimes the openings can seem repetitive, but this week we have new things to consider, like How is the Rock going to get his title shot at Wrestlemania? or What is the alliance between Big Show and Shane going to mean? I have this feeling we may be guessing right up until Wrestlemania, but I'm not sure that's such a good thing to do considering they usually like to build up the Main Event for Wrestlemania well ahead of time. However, maybe wrestling is so popular right now IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE MAIN EVENT WILL BE. The latest magazines though show Triple H and the Rock in the ads for Wrestlemania, and the Rock saying on RAW that Triple H vs. Big Show would be boring just about confirms the fact that is not going to be the Main Event. I'm not even sure Triple H vs. the Rock is the best possible Main Event, but I suppose the Rock needs to win the title at one Wrestlemania at least, just like most other great champions of the last 15 years.
Hopefully the Hardy Boyz will not split up for awhile. Already people are singling out Jeff Hardy, though I think both are equally as talented. It seems whenever teams split up that one member makes it to the top, and the other doesn't, just look at the Rockers, the Hart Foundation, the Smoking Gunns, etc.
Kurt Angle asking the security guard if he was wondering which belt weighed more was so funny. Jericho and Chyna dancing with Too Cool and Rikishi was pretty cool. It would be nice to see this group work together. It seems the WWF hasn't been sure what to do with Chyna, but combining these 5 people would be good for Chyna, and hopefully prevent the dance routine from becoming old.
I think Al Snow's best work is with Mick Foley, no doubt about it. I'm not sure how I like Steve Blackman yet. Yes, some things are funny, but they are only funny due to what others do in reference to Blackman, not for anything that he does himself.
Seems like everyone was looking forward to the Rock fighting the Brawler. I think they should have had him fight Iron Mike Sharpe, or how about Rene Goulet?
Why did there have to be interference so quickly in the Jericho/Saturn match??!! It was going so well! I wish they would give us at least 1 good 15-20 minutes match on each RAW and Smackdown.
I understand Billy Gunn has to be out for awhile, but I think it would have been better to have someone else injure him, instead of having DX turn on him. DX turning on him didn't make much sense. Why not let someone else have some credit?
Well, I've got to go for now.Old Commentary:
