I'm currently reading Diamond Dallas Page's book "Positively Page". I'm on page 310 and am going to read some more tonight. I'm probably not a good person to ask if a wrestling book is good, cause I always seem to enjoy them all. Seriously though, this is an excellent book. I like how the book is written. There are some parts written by DDP, spread throughout the book are sections written by all the important people in DDPs life. It really makes for an interesting read. For each subject or situation, you hear not only DDPs thoughts, but the thoughts of others involved. I've never seen a book done like this (at least not that I can remember). I just read the chapter about the Internet and that was really amazing. I didn't know DDP was one of the first wrestlers to ever have a site. I got on the net in 1995, but didn't really start looking at wrestling sites til 1996, but maybe I was looking at all the wrong ones, lol. His description about meeting his online friend in person for the first time was very interesting, or sort of how I've always pictured that might be. Those who've read it will know what I mean. I bought the book for a lot of reasons, besides the fact that it's a wrestling book, because whenever I think of DDP I do tend to think of the "positive". I know that sounds stupid, but knowing all the charity work he does, and listening and reading his interviews - he is always positive and finds the best in everyone. There are definitely some lessons there that we could all use. I'll write more about this book later when I finish. Next for me to read - Bret Hart's book. I've already got it, but it doesn't look nearly as long. Well, I'll write more throughout the week.

ok, let's see how I did on my predictions. First off, maybe I'll just write a little bit about Wrestlemania in general. Overall, I thought it was pretty bad. The only 2 really good matches were the ladder match and the main event. The IC/European match was pretty good, but I expected more. Actually, I expect the best of every Wrestlemania match. Honestly I enjoyed RAW and Smackdown this week better than Wrestlemania, except for Vince's "reason" for siding with Triple H, which really wasn't a reason at all. Now it appears Shane will be getting jealous of Stephanie? Too much backstabbing in too little time. Very confusing. One funny thing on Smackdown was Vince saying the wrong city he was in. I'm sure fans across the country will be outraged if he does that to them. Kurt Angle, more signs and cheers this week. Just remember I predicted long ago his future success. He's very funny. How about having Angle and Mae against Hardcore Holly and Moolah on RAW next Monday? The Big Show, is he funny? He's ok so far, but we'll see how long it can last. It was about time one of the Godfather's ladies turn on him. So rumor has it the Undertaker is returning Monday night. I'm glad about that, but I hope he doesn't go back to that Ministry of Darkness thing. With Kane and Paul Bearer they could be a great group to fight DX and the McMahons. The only problem I guess is that the Undertaker will want the World Title again, and with Kane that might be hard to do if Kane wants it too. Oh yeah, Wrestlemania...I'll have to finish later now.

Before I get to my Wrestlemania predictions, I'd just like to recommend seeing Grease on Ice if it comes to your area. I just got back and it's a great show! I know I know, wrestling fans typically aren't in to figure skating, but anyway....Here's something that would probably shock most ECW fans. Today I happened to come across this infomercial on CNBC that was selling the new year 2000 Silver Dollar, and guess who was the host of this show? None other than Joey Styles!!! At first I said to myself "That sure looks like Joey", then he said his name and of course it was him. Anyone see Joey on any other infomercials?

On with the predictions. It is so hard to predict WWF PPVs anymore, but I will attempt seeing this is Wrestlemania afterall. First prediction, I predict Tazz will win the Hardcore Battle Royal. Crash and Hardcore will probably end up fighting through the crowd and to the back as the Battle Royal continues. Other than Tazz' debut at the Royal Rumble, he really hasn't lived up the expectations of the fans since his arrival in the WWF. This would be the perfect opportunity for him to receive the push he deserves. I really can't see anyone else winning this Battle Royal, unless of course there is some other participant I am not aware of???

I predict the Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan will defeat the Godfather and D'Lo Brown. Again, here's another chance to accomplish 2 things in 1 match. First, give newcomer Buchanan some credibility as a partner with the Boss Man, and 2) re-establish the Boss Man as a wrestler to be taken seriously. One time the Boss Man was at the top of the card, but has obviously slipped down. The Godfather will always get over with the fans as long as he brings the ladies to ringside, and D'Lo isn't able to show his abilities as long as he's with the Godfather anyway. D'Lo does a good job with the Godfather, but I think he'll need to go in to singles matches in order to be taken seriously, or at least find a different partner.

See, I always think I have nothing to write, but once I get going I could go on and on and on....

I predict Eddy Guerrero, Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn will defeat Too Cool and Chyna. Again, it all goes back to what makes the most sense. Too Cool and Chyna seem to be thrown together, and Too Cool will remain popular as long as they're with Rikishi, and Chyna doesn't really need to win this match either. The Radicals though, they need this win at Wrestlemania. After a huge debut in the WWF, it would be a shame for them to lose this match at their first Wrestlemania. I for one am very sad to see that the fans don't seem to appreciate the Radicals, but maybe that's just cause they're more about wrestling (which is what we're all tuning in for, right?).

Prince Albert and Test should defeat Al Snow and Steve Blackman. Another debut that was built up so much was Trish Stratus. It seems unlikely that her team will lose at Wrestlemania. It shouldn't be hard to outsmart the team of Snow and Blackman, and if she is any kind of manager, she'll make sure her team gets this win. Al and Steve's segments seem to have gotten a lot funnier than when they started. Al really seems to work the best with Mick Foley though.

I can definitely see Kane and Rikishi losing to the Road Dogg and X-Pac. DX has been together a long time, and the team of Kane and Rikishi is brand new. Expect DX to outsmart Kane especially, most likely involving Tori as a distraction. Perhaps even Pete Rose will show up to gain his revenge on Kane for the past 2 Wrestlemanias.

Terri vs. the Kat will probably not have a winner, isn't it just a catfight? Seems likely that either Mae will get revenge on Moolah, or that Terri and Moolah will find a way to embarrass Mae and the Kat, allowing the Mae/Moolah feud to continue to the next PPV. It was too bad they had that awesome segment on RAW where Mae was put through the table off the stage and Moolah turned on her, and then we don't hear much about them for 2 weeks. That was the best reaction Mae and Moolah have gotten, they should have followed up on this better. Let's see, Moolah and Howard Finkel will be the only 2 participants who participated in Wrestlemania I, right?

I kind of see the Dudley Boyz retaining the Tag Team Championship. There's too much going on between the Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian. I think the Dudley Boyz will be able to take advantage of that. Now it seems they totally dropped Terri's involvement with these 2 teams, but perhaps she could be involved? - though I doubt it. This should be one of the better matches of the evening.

The match I am most looking forward to at Wrestlemania is Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit. I really can see any of these guys with any of the belts. I think it will go one of 2 ways, either: 1) Kurt Angle retains both belts, or 2) Chris Jericho wins the European Title and Chris Benoit wins the IC belt. I can't see either Benoit or Jericho winning a belt, and the other one not. Again, I guess I'm just going with what makes the most sense. What scenario will make everyone look the best? Having both Chris' win belts will, and if Kurt pulls off both wins, then neither Benoit or Jericho will outdo each other. Seems like Backlund will be a factor here somewhere. Again, I predict this will be the best wrestling match of the night.

Main Event time. My only prediction is that Mick Foley wins the title. As for the McMahons, who really knows? They may form alliances, they may turn on their respective wrestlers, there are endless possibilities. Who knows, maybe Stephanie could end up with the Rock, or Vince with Triple H. It could go any number of ways and I'm sure whichever way it does go will be very entertaining. As for the match itself, though it will probably not be the best wrestling match of the night, it will have the most twists and turns and will undoubtedly be the most entertaining. As for being the greatest match in Wrestlemania history, that will be hard to do, but it could be possible.

So there's my predictions. Enjoy the show everyone!!
