The Godfather

Description

The Corleone family is a mafia in New York City during the 40's and 50's. The family is led by the aging Godfather Vito Corleone. In New York City a new presence comes to town trying to sell drugs throughout the family's turf. The fight to stop the drug lord from selling drugs on the family's turf leads to the shooting of Don Vito. From there his son Michael, who originally wanted nothing to do with the family, but is coerced due to his father's shooting to take over as Godfather of the family. He then tries to make everything right after the shooting and the death of his brother Sonny. The whole ordeal leaves him in a very dangerous but powerful position. Michael then does what he has to do to get his revenge and run his family efficiently. The movie has great acting from the the lead roles and is recognized with Oscar wins at the Academy Awards.
