Accomplishments

I have received my Girl Scout Gold and Silver Award. Giving back to the community has always been one of my priorities, and through those projects, I was able to volunteer over 100 hours. I’m also a recipient of the Abbot Scholarship for the Scottish Rite Masons. The award is based on my academics and volunteering. My junior and senior year of high school I was a member of national honor society. While at UNH I receive the Director’s scholarship for having and maintaining above a 3.0 average.

Activities

I have been a Girl Scout since I was 7, and continue to be involved. I also spend two weeks every summer volunteering at Camp Fowler, a youth camp in Speculator, New York. I also volunteer at two local museums in Portsmouth; Strawbery Banke Museum, and the Portsmouth Children’s Museum. I help out at such events like the annual “Ghosts on the Banke” trick-or-treating event, or the Marti Gras party helping kids make masks. Annually Proctors Theater in Schenectady NY holds their annual “Melodies of Christmas” event to raise money for cancer research. Each year since sixth grade I have been a character to greet the kids as they enter the theater.  On campus I’m involved in Film Club and intramural soccer.

Interests

I was a member of ski and board club, cross country ski team, and Vice President of Art Club. I enjoy outdoor sports such as kayaking, hiking, and biking. I’m interesting in possible pursuing a career in business, in the non-profit sector. Teaching is also another option I’ve considered, and am very passionate about helping others.
