Background

Donya is a PhD student enrolled in the Ocean Engineering Program at the University of New Hampshire. She is from Jamaica and has a personal interest in understanding coastal phenomena. She obtained her BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, Claremont California and her MS in Civil Engineering at The Ohio State University with a focus on Coastal Engineering.

Research interests:

• The interaction of individual sediment grains in response to wave and mean flows.
• The role of shear stress gradients versus pressure gradients in incipient motion.
• The hydrodyamics within the wave-current bottom boundary layer.
