Four Legged Family Members is a no kill shelter that was founded in 2003 by Corey Frye.
It started out as a small shelter run out of his barn that was home to ten cats and five dogs.
Corey and his wife were the only employees and they both worked around their other full time jobs.
Today, Four Legged Family Memebers operates in a full sized, state of the art facility in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The shelter currently holds 30 dogs, 50 cats, 15 birds, 10 Rabbits, and 5 horses.
Which are all taken care of very well by the caring 20 person staff.
It is currently the most successful shelter in New England with each animals
only staying an average of two weeks before they find their new family!
