Giovanni's Roast Beef and Pizza
- Started off by working the cash register, learned how to take orders in person and on the phone, and eventually made a variety of pizzas and sandwiches.
- Responsibilities included shutting down and locking the front before leaving, along with counting and closing the money draw; handled different amounts depending on the shift, average was around a thousand dollars each night.
- Duties were cleaning (bathrooms, hallways, and dining room) and fulfilling anything else my boss asked of me.
- Experiences were learning all about customer service, cleaning and cooking skills, and how to work with other people and independently.
UNH Phonathon
- Involves working for the University of New Hampshire's UNH fund, which raises money for the school and its different programs.
- Responsibilities are calling alumni or parents of UNH; enchances communication and marketing skills, while developing friendly, proper phone etiquette.
Community Service:
Volunteer at Elliot Hospital
- Assisted the nurses on the rehibilitation floor by doing laundry, making beds, cleaning rooms, delivering meals, and helping the patients with simple tasks.
- Responsibilities were making sure if a patient's room alarm went off, they were being taken care of immediately.
- Experiences were learning the rules of the hospital, how to properly take care of patients, and how to take orders.
St. Jude's Up Till Dawn
- Purpose was to help the children of St. Jude by raising money at the annual Up Till Dawn event.
- Wrote fifty letters to family and friends to ask for donations, traveling to different businesses to ask for donations, and gathering people to actually go to the event.
- Experiences were how to talk to business owners in a professional way and how good it is to help people and be a part of organizations like this.
Other Involvements:
Project Sunshine
- Purpose is to organize a group of students to travel to different children's hospitals.
- Responsibilities are showing up to the meetings to learn different ways to help, participating in the different events throughout the year, and help the children in any way possible even if not chosen for a hospital trip.
