Interests

Volunteer Work

My interests in a job are to have friendly people working for the company and to have a room on my own as well but wouldn’t be bothered by a shared room as I have in the past. Being able to listen to music quietly makes things more relaxing for me too.

Two 30 hour famines: June ‘07 and ‘08

I didn’t eat for 30 straight hours twice to put myself in the shoes of the homeless. While I was doing this I collected money and made sandwiches with other snacks for a nearby homeless shelter.

Clothing Drive: February ‘07

I helped collect clothing from people who didn’t want some old clothes they had. After it was all collected I helped fold it and put it in bags to bring to different homeless shelters. This was an all day affair.

Gardening at Elementary School: June ‘09

For about 6 hours I went to the elementary school I attended and I did some gardening for them. I raked up leaves and sticks, I planted a tree that was donated by my class and I laid down mulch in their gardens around the school. After I went inside and talked to the Principal and watched over the kids with other teachers while they ate lunch.

Concessions at football games: October ‘09

I spent 8 hours working at a concession stand preparing food and selling it to fans at 3 Pop-Warner football games throughout the day. The money went to my high school’s booster club which pays for field trips, award ceremonies and other school projects.
