Despite the clubs name, they are not based in Chelsea, but in neighbouring Fulham. The club's home is the 41,841 capacity Stamford Bridge football stadium in Fulham. Chelsea's regular kit colors are royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks, the combination used since the 1960s. The current crest features a cermonial lion holding a staff. Their average home gate for the 2011 season was 41,435, the sixth highest in the Premier League.

The stadium, which is shared with Inter, is the largest in Italian futball, with a total capacity of 80,018. Inter is considered their biggest rivals, and matches between the two teams are called Derby dell Mandonnina, which is one of the most followed derbies in the world.
