What to Bring and What Not to Bring...

When going away to one of these islands, or to any vacation destination in general, it is crucial to remember certain items to bring from home as well as items to actually leave at home. Why you ask? Well, bringing these certain items and then leaving these certain other ones at home will cause you to have the most enjoyable, relaxing vacation possible.

From my personal experience, I found that the 3 most crucial items to bring with me on my trips are money, a camera, and friends/family. You never know what kinds of foreign items you may fall in love with, so bringing money will definitely give you the chance to invest in them. Also, having a camera will definitely help you capture the memories of these foreign items. These items may not be ones that you can purchase, but they may be items that are a part of the island's everyday culture (such as monuments, museums, beaches, etc.). The best part of experiencing these items and sights is having your friends/family with you, so you can always reflect and reminisce on these moments for the rest of your life.

After traveling on quite the number of trips, I have realized that there are certain things that you should NOT bring on trips like these: stress and work/assignments. First, one of the biggest reasons that people take vacations is to be stress- free, so bringing stress is a definite no-no. Tropical places like these shouldn't be taken for granted, so it is best to travel to them having a happy and high- spirited attitude. Also, bringing work/assignments is something that you should bring. I find that it is extrememly hard to focus on work/assignments when you are surrounded with millions of gorgeous sights. These sights only come once in a lifetime, so it is best to give them your utmost attention.
