About Us

A Little History
Durham House of Pets was founded in 1954 by Dr. Bernard Berrian. He started a veterinary hospital out of his home and that led to him to open Durham House of Pets.  It started as just a veterinary hospital that only sold pet health services. As time went on, there was an increasing demand for pet goods to also be sold. We began selling individual pet items for all pets such as:
  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Birds
  • Fish
  • Hamsters

All of our doctors and nurses were hand selected based on knowledge, medical skills, and personality. They are all from the top of their classes in their respective veterinary colleges. We also have the best website appearance of all of our competitors and is easy to navigate!
