Google

When searching Google.com I found 8,590,000 hits when typing in my name. None of the article appeared to be about me but when I typed in something like my name plus my high school it came up with articles from sports teams and whatnot. To get a successful outcome when doing a search for a particular topic the more specific you can be the more results you will receive that actually pertain to your topic. Which is exactly what I did when I made my search more specified.
Google!

Yahoo

The second search engine I chose to use in my "ego-search" was yahoo.com. the number of hits I received during this search was 10,400,00. Almost 2 million more hits were found on this search engine than the first. I think the reason I received so many hits is definitely because my last name is so popular and my first name is also pretty popular.
Yahoo!

The search engine I prefered was google just because it is a simpler search engine. I do not like the way yahoo was set up even though it returned more hits.

The meta search engine I chose to use was dogpile.com. I did not feel this technique yielded enough of a response to make me want to use this method of search over the other websites.
