This was a time in our history where even once questioned our humanity. There was conusion, caos, and corruption on every corner of our earth. The Holocaust was a mass murder of approximently 6 million Jews by the Nazi regime during WWII. In 1933 Adolf Hitler came to power, bringing with him the Nazi government, the third Reich. The Nazis believed that the Aryan Germans were superior above all others and were threatened by the other races who had leadership roles. During this genocide Jews were not the only race targeted; Gypsies, Poles, Russians, and other groups were also prosecuted depending on their political, ideological, and behavior groups.

Nazi Germany occupied 21 countries from 1933 through 1945, home to a total of about 9 million Jews. By 1945, 2 out of every 3 Jews had been killed, 1.5 million of them being children.
