Brian Albertelli's Assignment 4A for CS403 Section 03

My Homepage
Assignment 4B
Theme
My Final Project will be about the history of hockey stick technology. It will start with a page about wooden sticks, and then will continue to compare the best sticks on the market today. The real "meaning" of technology for the sake of this webpage is focused on what the stick is made out of, and how it bends with respect to the many different marketing schemes of the current top companies: Bauer, Easton, Reebok, and Warrior. The main feature that is going to make my site unique, is that it is going to be a one stop shop for information about the best hockey sticks on the market today. I am a keyholder at PureHockey in Exeter, NH during the summer, and explaining the difference between sticks could be explained in much greater detail if supplemented with a simple webpage.
Goals
  1. This website is going to be designed to provide a customer of PureHockey all the important information necessary to make a better decision when purchasing a hockey stick.
  2. Graphics for this website will be primarily taken from eligible sources, most likely PureHockey.com, and the other official sites for Bauer, Easton, Reebok, and Warrior.
  3. The length of this assignment will be approximately 12 pages. Each company will have a page, and off of the company's page, there will be picture based links to their top of the line sticks. However, all pages will still link to all other pages.
  4. The maintenance of this site will be minimum. There will need to be four updates a year: one update for each new release for each company.
  5. Money required for this site will be minimum. I will contact the manager of the Exeter, NH PureHockey, and ask him for permission to use the images. Other than that, all of the other information that I am going to use is public, so I will not have to pay for any information. The site itself will be on my UNH Pubpage, so fees for a domain will not exist.
  6. Research will be conducted on all of the company's official pages.
Navigational Scheme
The Navigation Scheme for this website will be a compination of exploratory and hierarchial. There will be an ordered way to view the pages, but links to all pages will exist on all pages. Having links to all the pages on every page is appropriate because it makes navigation through the site the simplest. Adding the companys page is simply a way to introduce the sticks, and provide a little bit of background information on the sites. The company sites will be the second level of the hierarchy, and the sites for each stick will be the third level. The home page will be the top level of the hierarchy.
