My name is Brandon Lawrence. I'm a freshman here at UNH. I live in Antrim NH, which is a small town just north of Peterborough, with my mom, dad, and sister, Abby. I went to ConVal High School and played three sports a year. My senior year I was on the varsity soccer, basketball, and track teams. During my senior year, I went on a trip with other National Honor Society members from ConVal to New York City to work in soup kitchens and food pantries for a weekend. I met a lot of new people and had a great time.
In my junior year of high school I needed a class to fill a quarter english credit, so I decided to take journalism, which I had heard was an easy A. I ended up writing for the school newspaper every other week, and kept contributing even after the class had ended. The next year my friend from class and I decided to take over as co-editors, and produced a bi-weekly paper that teachers and administration said was the best they had ever seen. I also had an internship writing for the local newspaper's sports section. Now I write for UNH's school newspaper, TNH, as a contributing sports writer. In the next couple of years, I hope to become a regular staff writer, and eventually editor of sports.
