HISTORY
Durham House of Pets or DHP, was founded in 1958 in Durham, NH by a young man named Thomas Brady. Originally, Durham House of Pets only sold dogs. However, over the years DHP has grown and picked up new products on the way. It was not until the year 2000 that DHP started selling cats, and the year 2005 when they started selling fish. Managers noticed that the sales just were not as strong as they could be, even after adding more pet options. Durham House of Pets really cranked up their sales when they figured out that they should sell not just pets, but pet products as well! Thomas Brady felt silly for not thinking of this idea 40 years ago, but are happy now. As of 2009 DHP has been selling everything from dog food, cat food, fish tanks, leashes, you name it they probably have it now. Since 2009 sales have increased over 50% and the store has started employing some more workers to help keep up with the company's growth.
