A Word About This Website

First of all, let me welcome you to the inferior-yet-still awesome UNH Library web site. The official UNH version of this website can be accessed by going to http://www.library.unh.edu/. The goal of this website is to provide the most essential information about the library and give little tips about how to go about getting things in the library. From working at the Loan and Reserves desks in the library, I have observed that even people who study in the library all time don't know how to go about doing certain things. With this website, particularly the Miscellaneous Tips page, I hope to give everyone an insider's overview of the UNH Dimond Library. I have divided this website into five basic sections:

  1. About section gives information about this website, its author, and the Library itself.
  2. Main Desks section describes the 3 highly-popular desks where patrons can rent books and other material from.
  3. Books section provides tables that show where all kinds of books are
  4. Interesting Info explains little-known yet helpful information to help improve your study experience at the library as well as a floor-by-floor map section.
  5. The Feedback section allows users to go nuts criticizing this website

It is worth noting that this website should in no way be used as a reference for all library information. The official site has anything and everything you can possibly know about the library, but it is too big to read in its entirety. A lot has been left out of this website for simplicity purposes, but if you read this site in its entirety, you will be well-informed in a small amount of time. Try and use this website as a guide.

My name is Brian Nute and I'm currently in my first year at UNH. I'm majoring in economics and plan to minor in business administration and mathematics, and I also plan to get my masters in economics. In addition to this, I work at the UNH Dimond Library. As mentioned above, I've observed that a lot of people are missing out on a lot of interesting things that the library has to offer. Because of this, I have created this website.

Although most of the content of this website comes from my own job training and experiences working at the library, any sources used on the pages you are looking at (including picture sources) can be found in the footer.
