The Durham House of Pets was started by CEO, Andrea Butler, just five years ago and has expanded from one small location in Durham, New Hampshire to over fifteen locations nation-wide! Andrea has always been an animal lover, but because of her fathers severe animal dander allergy, the only pet she was allowed to keep was a goldfish. Because she could not have pets of her own, Andrea volunteered at animal shelters and advertised herself to pet-sit and train through local newspapers. By her first year of high school, she had made enough profits from her pet-sitting and training jobs to fund the start-up of a small business. With the help of her family and a few close friend employees, it took only a year for the Durham House of Pets to open a new location! Andrea is now enrolled in the University of New Hampshire, juggling college and her pet business. Durham House of Pets has allowed Andrea to be around as many furry friends as she wants, and if you come on over to one of our locations, you can be too! We Care!
