Icing on the Cake Shop was founded in 2009 by Amanda Walker. It began as an out-of-the-home cake decorating service that took three to four orders per week. As more orders came in, Walker's cakes grew more and more popular in the Boston area. In late 2010, it was obvious that Icing on the Cake Shop needed to expand. Walker opened her storefront on Main Street in September of that year. The shop has been growing ever since!
