My name is Alexis.

I was born in Philadelphia, PA. However, I currently reside in New Hampshire. I work as an office assistant and customer care manager for a company in Manchester, NH, in addition to attending the University of New Hampshire: Manchester campus as a full-time student majoring in Communication Arts. Eventually, I hope to gain employment in the field of media and telecommunications. Because of my interest in this very broad field, I have decided to create my final project on the topic of product placement.

Product placement is often necessary to create the type of funding that allows for production and marketing of a television program, movie, or music album. However, many viewers complain when the line between commercial and entertainment blurs. When a piece of entertainment, such as a song, television show, or movie, is advertising a product, it is not as explicit as an actual commercial, which does not hide the fact that it is promoting and advertising a product, brand, or service. Many writers also detest product placement because they are forced to write a commercial within their own creative script, without receiving any compensation from the brand.
