Assignment 4A for CS403-03

Themes: The theme of this webpage will be a guide to an eventful day in downtown Montreal, Quebec. I currently reside on the outskirts of the city, and although the neighboorhoods can be peaceful, nothing beats heading to the city for a day. We will start by heading to Old Montreal (Vieux-Montreal) for a look at one of the most well preserved European designed cities in North America. Next, we will head towards famous St. Catherine street (rue Sainte-Catherine) to get a look at the central business district, eat some food, and pass by some of Montreal's colleges and universities. Last, we will head to Crescent Street (rue Crescent) for a look at Montreal's nightlife for those who enjoy loud music and dancing.
Goals: I hope to give students unfamiliar with Montreal, or Canada in general a good idea of how to have a good time in this great city. Although most people in Quebec, Canada only speak French, Montreal is a unique place with a multicultural identity that makes it fairly easy for non French speakers. I also want students to experience a culture shock that Montreal provides. It isn't easy for most of us to hop on a plane and head for Europe or Asia without breaking the bank. Montreal can get the job done with only a five hour car ride from UNH!
