Welcome to Jenni's Art Gallery and Comics!

Tah-Dah!

This page will eventually be the showcase for my pictures, and have the newest ones showcased near the top of the page. There will be a description following each picture, including what materials were used, the approximate time it took to complete, etc. You can click here to send me feedback on the art here, or suggestions on more tutorials/comics to post up here, or if any of the how-to sites were helpful. It's always great to hear from you!

Just so I can provide an example of what shall come later on this page, I will provide below several examples of my previous work, several of which can be found here at my deviant art account home page or will later be added. As of today, July 12th, 2011, I have updated two pictures below, and will be posting a few more every week. The charcoal drawings usually take about 5-6 hours, but the good ones I am actually proud of usually take about 15-20+ hours. As for drawings, I become afraid of smudging them, because they are usually more delicate, and thus usually spend less time on them. The golden retriever puppy and his unfinished companions below has taken about 6 or so hours, and I used two reference pictures from a google search. Usually my human charcoal drawings involve a real model, but for the angel picture below I only took a clothed picture of myself to get a good enough idea of how the contours of limbs and angles would proceed. Critique is always welcome!

Example Artwork Below

I spent about 22 hours of spring vacation on this charcoal drawing of an angel woman sitting on a cloud, holding a shiny ball in her hand. The ball represents the earth. But the trick is, it's hard to tell from her expression if she has good intentions or is really a mischievous fallen angel. After all, the inside of her wings are more black than white. W.I.P. of the Week!

This section is meant to showcase only one work that is not yet finished that I am especially interested in getting feedback on. Currently showcased is the Golden Retriever Puppies drawing.

Golden Retriever Puppies! Obviously not done, but it's hard to get back in the groove of finishing drawings sometimes.Used two reference pictures from google, about 6+hours of time, and tons of varying ranges of pencils, mostly on the 4H light side first. Received the drawing note pad and pencils from my friend's mum for Christmas! Golden Retriever Puppies! Obviously not done, but it's hard to get back in the groove of finishing drawings sometimes. Farewell!

Adieu, and come again! (When things should look more organized, full of color, and overall more interesting.) Photo of a butterfly on a leaf
